GRSC works alongside other barristers and solicitors to provide advice and representation across all areas of civil and commercial law, including employment law, landlord and tenant, insurance law and media law. Therefore, if GRSC cannot assist you with your legal enquiry, on your agreement they can put you in contact with colleagues who would be suitable for your case. Members of GRSC are permitted to be members of more than one set of chambers.
We enjoy working independently, as part of a team, with or without a solicitor, in London and throughout the UK.

Practice (main): Employment, Insurance and Media law.
Amanda undertakes most contract-related / business-related work. Her articles (with David Wolchover) have appeared in the New Law Journal. Amanda is also an experienced businesswoman and writer, having started her first business at age 16; her most recent business is Just MOOCH app. She has written articles, books and screenplays. Her work outside of law includes working in film development, publishing and art.

Peter Mark Ward

Practice (main): Employment, Civil and Commercial litigation
Peter is a qualified architectural technician and was a director of a property development/ management company for several years. He has also taught throughout his career, including at BPP Law School (where he taught the HoC). Peter has worked in the government legal service and has a wide range of experience. He is registered to conduct litigation.
Spare time: Peter runs marathons. He has successfully completed over 140 marathons. He also supports the theatre and art, and can sometimes be spotted with Amanda, discussing modern art.

Phillip Arnes Bowen

Practice (main): Family, Finance and Children
With a legal career spanning over 30 years, Phil was previously a serving police officer. He is also a former Solicitor - having been admitted in 1994 - then called to the Bar in 2019. His cases have included tax issues, director and partnership liabilities, pensions and the Court of Protection (including mental capacity issues).
Spare time: Phil is a Leicester Tigers supporter.

Eugene MacLaughlin

With over 20 years of legal experience, Eugene previously worked as a litigation solicitor dealing with civil litigation, property, housing, licensing and regulatory prosecutions. Admitted as a Solicitor in 2022, Eugene's work has included roles as a Litigation Solicitor, Managing Partner and Barrister. He also has an MA in Public Policy and Public Law and previously lectured in Business Studies. Eugene is a registered Pupil Supervisor and registered to conduct litigation.

Nicholas Berry

Practice (main): Commercial and Chancery Law
Nick’s experience is varied, having included conveyancing, easements, trusts and planning. Nick’s work has also included Intellectual Property and Technology, Defamation and Reputational Risk. Nick has a keen interest in the development of AI and the legal implications that shall no doubt follow. He has acted in nearly 60 TOLATA cases, acting in complex matters in the County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal.

Angus Gloag

Practice (main): Commercial Law including Company Law, Banking and Insurance
Angus has over 30 years experience at the Bar, including in commercial proceedings before Abu Dhabi Commercial Court. Angus’ clients include high net worth individuals, property developers and tenants. He regularly deals with TOLATA cases, leasehold disputes, contested probate and inheritance disputes, as well as representing clients before regulatory bodies (NMC, GMC, HCPC, GDC, BSB, SRA and ACCA) and Partnership and Shareholder disputes.
Spare time: Angus is a cycling enthusiast and likes to be in court as frequently as possible.
